Come and celebrate one of the unique characteristics of our country, the right to keep and bear arms.  Even those without interest in owning or using guns will find the background information and gun safety training very useful.  Those who desire will have the opportunity to fire various firearms and learn about additional training opportunities at the Unified Sportsman's Club.

Activities begin at 10:00 a.m. with a flag ceremony provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  The activities, and classes, listed below will be available until 4:00 p.m.

Planned activities include:
  • Basic firearms safety instruction
  • History of the right to keep and bear arms and relation to the Second Amendment
  • Instruction in the selection of firearms
  • Familiarization shooting with rifle, pistol, and shotgun
  • Demonstrations of long range shooting, three gun, and practical shooting
  • Airsoft training options and shoot house
  • Classes described above
  • Food vendors
​Additional speakers will provide a history of the Second Amendment, information needed to make good decisions if you would like to own a firearm.  Local elected officials will also be invited.
